Hi friends! Welcome to the March edition of Tools for the optimist-ish. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in need of a little extra joy lately. These are a few things that have brought me happiness this month.

A lazy day trip to Ojai

My husband and I had planned a mini road trip for my birthday, but for one reason or another, the timing didn’t work out. So, instead, we took a day trip to Ojai—a charming little town just two hours from Los Angeles.

We’d hoped to go hiking, but the weather had other plans. Still, we made the most of it: a delicious lunch, a visit to a mountain-framed dog park with the pups, and a leisurely wine tasting to round it all off.
