Am I Cured Yet? by Emma Vivian
A newsletter about health, happiness, and the definitely not scary concept of mortality
Who am I?
In 2018, at age 29, I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Less than a year earlier, my childhood best friend, Emily, received a breast cancer diagnosis of her own. Tragically, although I survived, Emily did not.
Five years on, and now in remission, I’m on a journey of healing as I attempt to find beauty amongst all the rubble left behind by cancer.
Am I Cured Yet? is a weekly newsletter for anyone who’s ever struggled to believe in their self-worth or wondered what they have to offer the world. Expect thoughtful essays on happiness, mental health, survivor’s guilt, and practising self-love.
My dearest hope is to build a community of like-minded, anxious dreamers. I’d be honoured if you joined me in my pursuit of joy and purpose!
